Evan Shuvo is one of the prominent Bachata dancers in Midwest and known to his friends as “Suav-o” for his Smooth Salsa techniques among his dance group members. Before he moved to St Louis area with a career opportunity, he helped jump start a Salsa community in Eastern Iowa. His true motivation comes from the support of the community. In just a little over 2 years of his St Louis career, he hosted many local events such as Salsa nights at Club Europe and Bachata parties at Webster Groves. Every year, he attends numerous dance events nationwide and works very hard to bridge the gap between St Louis and rest of the Salsa/Bachata nation.
Marisol Badillo, aka “Marisaucy”, has many years of experience in teaching as well as performing in St Louis area and abroad. Both Evan and Marisol are the lead choreographers and dance directors of “My Rhythms” dance group (mylatinrhythms.com) that promotes these Latin dances in the area. Their dance team performs as well as teaches dance workshops in many dance events both locally and out of state. My Rhythms is proud to be among the very few from the Midwest to take the center stage in DC International Dance Congress this August.
